Chris Williams is a long-time environmental activist and author of the seminal work Ecology and Socialism: Solutions to Capitalist Ecological Crisis. (Haymarket Books, 2010). He is a Professor of Physics and Chemistry at Pace University, New York.
In this talk he explains the roots of the climate crisis and the socialist strategies needed to overcome it.
He is joined by Amity Pate, a journalist and writer living in New York City. She writes for the Amsterdam News and was a contributor to Occupying Wall Street: The Inside Story of an Action that Changed America. (Haymarket Books, 2011)
Pate spoke about her experiences reporting in New York during the immediate aftermath of Hurricane Sandy.
