DESPITE HAVING climbed to number one on the iTunes UK music charts, radio stations are refusing to play 'Liar, Liar' by the London-based group Captain Ska.

The ska-style song attacks Prime Minister Theresa May and the Conservative Party’s record of cuts to the National Health Service (NHS), education and social care.

The song was originally released in 2010, but has been updated for May.

Captain Ska’s producer Jake Painter says the refusal of radio to play the song is little more "than an attempt to undermine public opinion"

“Thousands of people have downloaded this track and we demand that it is aired as any other song would be.”

All proceeds from downloads of the track between 26th May and 8th June 2017 will be split between food banks around the UK and The People's Assembly Against Austerity.
