SYSTEM CHANGE, NOT CLIMATE CHANGE

Martyn Bradbury of The Daily Blog gets its wrong about the Labour-New Zealand coalition government's climate change policy. Its far worse than he thinks it is...

MARTYN BRADBURY has rightfully pointed out the total inadequacy of the government's climate change policy.

But writing on The Daily Blog, he appears to be under the impression that the government has set a goal of zero carbon emissions by 2030. 

But the government's position is worse than this. Jacinda Ardern, James Shaw and co are aiming for carbon neutrality in 2050 while, at the same time, leaving untouched the very economic machinery that is wrecking the planet.

This policy has emerged from a misconceived belief in so-called 'green capitalism'.

Bradbury, a supporter of this government, has got his facts wrong.
