The two women responsible for the biweekly Gaslight Nation are Andrea Chalupa and Sarah Kendzior.

Andrea Chalupa is a journalist, writer and producer living in New York. She is the author of the 2012 eBook Orwell and the Refugees and also writes for the Huffington Post on business, entertainment, and politics.

Sarah Kendzior is a St Louis-based journalist and author. She has written for, among others, Al Jazeera, The Guardian, Chicago Tribune and Politico. She is the author of The View From Flyover Country, a collection of essays first published by Al Jazeera.

In Sarah's words Gaslight Nation 'covers the rise of autocracy in the US and corruption in the Trump administration.' Gaslight Nation is everything CNN isn't.

They say that Shit Hot People's Politburo is the fourth most popular socialist podcast in New Zealand. The fortnightly podcast began in May this year and it aims to give listeners 'a steaming Marxist perspective on current affairs.' You know you want it.

The latest episode looks at New Zealand's smart new socialist outfit,Organise Aotearoa.

Katie Halper is a comic, writer, blogger, satirist and filmmaker based in New York. Her writing and videos have appeared in The New York Times, Comedy Central, The Nation Magazine, Gawker (before it got bankrupted by an angry capitalist) Nerve, Jezebel, the Huffington Post and Alternet.

Katie also worked on The Take, Naomi Klein's documentary about Argentine workers. She also co-produced Tim Robbins' film Embedded.
