WITH THE CONTINUING debate and argument about the contentious 2016 presidential election, the most shocking fact is often ignored: that millions of people had their votes deliberately stolen through malicious means. They simply had their names purged off the rolls.

The Republican Party is currently working to purge millions more voters leading up to the 2018 mid term elections. All 435 seats in the United States House of Representatives and 34 of the 100 seats in the United States Senate will be contested.

To explain this major attack on our supposed democratic process, Abby Martin talked with investigative reporter Greg Palast, who has done the extensive work uncovering this massive disenfranchisement campaign.

Greg Palast is a New York Times bestselling author and a freelance journalist for Rolling Stone magazine, the BBC and The Guardian. His most recent book is The Best Democracy Money Can Buy: A Tale of Billionaires and Ballot Bandits. It formed the basis of the film, The Best Democracy Money Can Buy, released last year.
