I WAS SAD to read that the young revolutionary socialist, Max Edwards, has passed away. He had been battling cancer for some six months.
His parents, Dan and Jenny, have left a 'A Final Post' on his blog which reads:
Writer, Philosopher, Thinker, Musician, Artist
The Anonymous Revolutionary – Max Edwards, our son – died on 26th March 2016, age 16.
He loved writing this blog and sharing his ideas with you. In the later months of his life in particular it was a great source of comfort to him.
Thank you all for your support. Thank you all for making a young revolutionary very happy.
"It was a privilege to meet Max Edwards with @Ed_Miliband just 2 weeks ago. He was a fantastic young man who will be missed terribly,' wrote Labour
leader Jeremy Corbyn on Twitter.
Former Labour leader Ed Miliband wrote: "It was a privilege to meet Max 2 weeks ago. A very special young man. My heart breaks for Dan, Jenny, Esme and Toby.
Max, I think, might like these words from one of his heroes, Leon Trotsky. Near the end of his life, in his final 'Testament', he wrote:
'Life is beautiful. Let the future generations cleanse it of all evil, oppression, and violence, and enjoy it to the full."
'Life is beautiful. Let the future generations cleanse it of all evil, oppression, and violence, and enjoy it to the full."
