Gaza Fights for Freedom is the new documentary from The Empire Files. It will have its world premiere in Los Angeles next week.

ONE OF THE MANY casualties of the U.S. administration's ever-widening economic sanctions against Venezuela has been The Empire Files. The project of journalist Abby Martin, the documentary series aired on the Caracas-based TeleSUR network throughout Latin America and on Free Speech TV in the United States.

Production on The Empire Files came to halt with a third series in the pipeline, after funding from TeleSUR  was completely blocked by U.S. sanctions. Even wire transfers not originating from Venezuela but from ally countries which also fund TeleSUR, were also cut off.

Since then however The Empire Files has kept going thanks to donations from viewers. It has been far from easy road to travel but Abby's determination to keep the show on air has also resulted in a new documentary being completed. Gaza Fights For Freedom will have its world premiere at the Downtown Independent Theatre in Los Angeles on Thursday June 20. Tickets are available.

This riveting collaboration between The Empire Files and a heroic team of Palestinian videographers in Gaza features exclusive coverage of the ‘Great March of Return’ protests, and extensive evidence—with frontline footage and victim testimony—of Israeli war crimes.

The premiere screening will also include a question and answer session with Abby.

Note : Since this was written, theatre tickets have sold out.
