Feminism 2020 happens this week. Headlining the event will be Canada's Meghan Murphy. A freelance  writer and journalist, she has been writing and podcasting about feminism since 2010.

DESPITE THE BEST EFFORTS of its political opponents to shut it down, Feminism 2020 will go ahead in Wellington this Friday November 15 and in Auckland on Monday November 18.

In light of the efforts made to deplatform them, Speak Up for Women will not be announcing the Wellington venue until Thursday.  It is sadly indicative of the current political climate that Speak Up for Women have to go to such lengths. They are consistently attacked by their political opponents as 'transphobic'  because  they continue to defend the hard-won rights of women. As one journalist has observed, 'the effort to empower trans people has inspired a campaign to silence women.'

Headlining Feminism 2020 is Canada's Meghan Murphy. She the founder and editor of Feminist Current, Canada’s leading feminist website. She is one of the most in-demand speakers and commentators on the issue of gender identity ideology and legislation, and has recently addressed the Scottish Parliament.
